// newsroom kit

Everything a small newsroom budgets for, already written.

A newsroom with C2PA-ready cameras and a current Creative Cloud licence needs no engineering from us and none from you. What it still needs is four documents and one short session. The Newsroom band includes all of them, so the only line in your budget is the subscription.

// for your CMS vendor

A one-page brief for whoever runs your CMS

Hand this to your support contract. It is one hour of their time, not a sprint. The signing call is a single POST and your editorial workflow does not move.

  1. 01

    Endpoint and examples: the signing API documented at /developers, with a sandbox key the vendor can test against on the testing lane before touching production.

  2. 02

    Key placement: your organisation admin mints the API key on you.trusteddit.com and the vendor stores it as a secret in the CMS, never in a theme or template file.

  3. 03

    Publish hook: sign on approve or publish, before the file reaches your CDN, so the credential ships inside the file your readers receive.

  4. 04

    Badge: the verification badge snippet for article templates, so a reader opens the manifest in one click.

  5. 05

    Done means: the first published asset verifies in the free Verifieddit extension. We work with the vendor until it does.

// onboarding

One session, fifteen certificates

A contributor certificate is a member of your organisation on you.trusteddit.com. Setting up the roster is one call with your editor, about forty-five minutes.

  1. 01

    We create your organisation and make your editor its admin.

  2. 02

    The admin invites each photographer, videographer, illustrator and writer by email.

  3. 03

    Each person signs in once and receives a certificate in their own name, chained to the Trusteddit CA.

  4. 04

    When someone leaves, the admin removes them and the certificate is revoked. A replacement is invited the same way, with no call to us.

  5. 05

    Fair use: thirty new certificates a year on a fifteen-seat band, so the roster can change without the contract changing.

// editorial policy

A disclosure policy you can adopt as written

Under the EU AI Act, Article 50, transparency obligations apply from August 2026. The policy below is the one we recommend; change the thresholds if your standards editor disagrees, and sign nothing until the rule is written down.

  1. 01

    Crop, colour, exposure, sharpening and noise reduction: ordinary edits, recorded in the manifest, no disclosure.

  2. 02

    Generative fill, generative expand, object removal or any AI retouch: the contributor marks the asset AI-modified before signing.

  3. 03

    Wholly synthetic illustration: marked AI-generated, signed by the person who prompted it, never passed off as a photograph.

  4. 04

    A broken-chain warning in the CMS means the file lost its credential in editing. Re-export from the original and sign again before publication.

  5. 05

    Only the certificate holder signs. A certificate is never shared, and an editor never signs on a contributor’s behalf.

// contracts

A freelance clause you can paste

Your contributor agreement needs four sentences. These are them, in plain language; your counsel will want to read them once.

  1. 01

    The contributor holds a Trusteddit contributor certificate in their own name for the term of this agreement and signs only work they made.

  2. 02

    The newsroom administers the certificate through its organisation and revokes it when the agreement ends.

  3. 03

    The contributor is responsible for the accuracy of what the manifest declares about their work, including whether AI was used.

  4. 04

    Signing does not change the licence granted for the work; it records who made it and when.

// next step

Fifteen seats, one call.

The Newsroom band is $248 a month: fifteen contributor certificates, ten thousand signed assets a month pooled across the roster, and this kit. Book twenty minutes and we schedule the onboarding session on the call.
